For an Underwood custom creation, every step takes place right here in our workshop in Fayetteville. Our designers and craftsmen take each piece from the initial concept and raw precious metal through stone setting and final finishing—all under one roof, with no part of the process outsourced. Working in gold, platinum, diamonds, and a wide range of gemstones, our team can bring your vision to life. Come in with a sketch, a photo, or simply an idea, and we’ll take it from there.
Our Process
DESIGN
Our team works with you to develop the concept, producing CAD renderings and 3D-printed wax models so you can see and approve the design before a single gram of metal is cast.
CASTING
Our goldsmiths use state-of-the-art milling and lost-wax casting technology to produce the piece from raw precious metal. Laser technology allows for precision joins and finishes not possible with traditional methods.
SETTING & FINISHING
Stones are set and the piece is finished by hand in our studio. Every Underwoods piece leaves our bench with a personal guarantee of quality and craftsmanship.

The Underwoods design team has competed and won in some of the most prestigious jewelry design competitions in the world. Our work has earned multiple AGTA Spectrum Awards, the most prestigious colored gemstone design award in the United States. We are the first and only jeweler in Arkansas to receive a Spectrum Design Award, and the first and only to receive a Platinum Honors Award.
We have also won the Jewelers of America CASE Award for Creativity, Artistry, Style, and Excellence, taken first place in the Carat Award competition, and won the International Pearl Design Competition in Tokyo from a field of over 1,000 entries representing 46 countries. In 2024, we took first place in the Jewelers of America National Design Competition in the Retailer Jewelry category.
